Loose Battery?

I bought this laptop less than 24 hours ago for college. When I first opened it out of the box, the battery was attached to it and as soon as I pulled it out it fell. I put it back on with zero problems, put the computer on the table, and started to set it up. About 30 minutes later the battery fell off again. I looked to see if there were any broken parts on the battery or on the laptop, but there were none I could find. I carefully put it back on and it hasn't fallen off since--but it is sort of loose. When I pick the laptop up, it isn't a tight fit, it's a little loose. It isn't drastic or majorly loose, but it isn't a really tight fit. I doesn't move around, it just hangs down just a little. I've never had a Dell product so I don't know if they're supposed to be really tight? This could be perfectly normal, I just wanted to ask :)
