One issue I have come across is:
Once I install the updates above and restart, I get the Blue Screen of Death, and it reboots...
It looks just like Virtualization is turned OFF in BIOS, however, upon further inspection, it is still turned ON.  Weird

So i turned it off...  Saved & Exited...

On the next boot, it worked fine...  weird

Hi
In response to you by PM you sent me from what i can tell you are have problems with
UPEK TouchStrip Reader no Vista x64 Driver found
the Biometric Fingerprint reader no Vista 64 bit driver,Embassy Trust Suite and Virtualization

First i do not know anything about the Virtualization , touch strip , fingerprint reader
or embassy trust suite on your m 1330!
I will try to find out what i can on these and get back to you soon !
If there is no 64 bit drivers from Dell
the only option you may have is to go to
the manufactor that made them and see if there is 64 bit drivers there!
Like i said i will look around and see what i can find myself and get back to you !
Good Luck

I read your tutorial here and then purchased this M1330 laptop with the intent of putting Vista x64 on it, but I've not had the good fortune that you have described.  First, mine is pretty new and has the A08 BIOS on it.  I didn't do the Virtualization thing right away.  I installed Vista Business x64.  It installs and then after it boots the 2nd time it dies with the BSOD and begins that loop; so I confirmed that DOES happen still (don't know if its BIOS related or what).  I then power-off (held button to kill it).  Entered BIOS again, and did the Virtualiazation from the POST menu.  Computer powers-up okay.  I then play with Vista a little bit and then say reboot.  Well it reboots and when it just wants to start up again, it dies with that same quick BSOD and then right away into rebooting and doing that infinite loop stuff.  I powerd down again and it seems to only want to work the "first" power up.  Any restarts cause this freak out.  I'm going to try to get a movie camera to catch that quick BSOD and see what text is there to give me a clue of why this is happening.  Let me know if I was supposed to actually install x64 with the "Virtualization" ON because that wsa my primary deviation.

Thanks anyone who's tried this out...

See if this helps, go into the BIOS,

Change Harddrive setting from ATAI to ATA, for me this worked.

Thanks

I've got the same model m1330 purchased four months ago. After more than one year on the market DELL still doesn't provide some drivers for WV64. I can understand situation with XP- DELL sells this model with Vista. Anyway, I've tested XP64 and WV64 on this laptop (made dual-boot system plus DellMediaDirect as a third system). They work fine, only need to find extra drivers from their manufactures. For instanse, for message before ( rikardkrvaric
1 X Biometric Coprocessor
----- UPEK TouchStrip Reader
----- NO VISTA x64 Drivers FOUND)
I've used  FingerPrint  software from ASUS's support page. It works with my m1330.
