M2010 Does not detect DVD/will not open
I have had my computer for a couple months now and have never encountered this problem. Not only will my computer not detect that a DVD is in the drive, but it also refuses to opn the drive so I can get the disk out. When I press the eject botton on the dashboard, it just pulses blue for a couple seconds then turns off. When I go into "My Computer" the disk does not shot up in the drive. When I right click on DVD Drive (E:) and click "Eject" it does nothing. And when I double click on DVD Drive (E:) a message comes up saying "Insert a Disk" even though one is already trapped in there.
Now, here is an even weireder part: I have re-started to no avail, but I did notice that when I put it to sleep and wake it up again, the disk spins as though it is being read. So I put it to sleep, woke it up, quickly logged in, got to "My Computer" before it stopped spinning, and it was detecting that it was there! But when I pressed "Eject" on the dashboard, it only pulsed for a while then turned off, and when I chose to "Eject" by right-clicking on Drive (E:) it stopped the disk from spinning, then the disk disappered again. Like it was never there. So I am stuck, any ideas?

But an update on my situation. I shut it down for the night after posting my issue, turned it on this morning and everything worked fine. I am so confused but glad to have everything working again.
So my advice to anyone else who is having this problem; shut it down, leave it alone for a few hours, try again. Aside from that I have no ideas for you.
