memory for integrated graphics card

Hi everybody. I was wondering if there was a way for me to dedicate more memory towards my graphics card. I currently have a inspiron 6000, and a moble intel 915GMl/GMS, 910 GML chipset. Currently it has only 8mb dedicated to it, but it can be expanded to up to 128mb. However, I have no clue how to do this. Awaiting all responses.

You will need to install more system RAM before the allocation to your integrated graphics card is increased.

I believe that your graphics card will use 128MB if you have a minimum of 512MB of system RAM.

Well I currently do have 512mb ddr2 ram installed, 8mb of it is being dedicated to the graphics card. later this week I will try to get another stick installed, but will that help me since I already have 512mb available??

I am using XP pro w/SP2, and my bios version is A07.

The 8M is a video buffer, not video RAM. The system will dynamically allocate system RAM for video as needed - the allocation cannot be manually controlled.
