Miracle needed--XPSM2010 Bluetooth keyboard help!

Hi

I have the XPS M2010 running Vista Ultimate. The bluetooth mouse and keyboard has never worked properly and after exhausting Dell's limited tech support I junked the mouse and went USB. The keyboard seemed to work better when U did that but it still just goes to sleep and wont wake up every so often. I have to go into the Bluetooth control panel and remove the keyboard and then reinstall. After 20 times a day I gave up. I would junk the keyboard too but you need the Bluetooth keyboard for the monitor to shut properly since it locks into the keyboard

I need help! I cannot rely on Dell so I am reaching out to the community. Surely someone out there has found a work around or a solution

Thanks!

John

Miracle found! I find it very humorous that Dell cannot solve this problem but Toshiba can! If you search for the Toshiba Bluetooth stack and install it you will solve your problems!!

Unbelievable!

I know there must be others out there with this problem. Go get this and download it!!

And hijacking Toshiba's WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers / stack fixes tons of things on more than just the M2010..  I don't know why they don't just update t.

Hello joca,

I myself am also looking for a miracle solution.  My keyboard has only basic functionality in Vista (fn key combos don't work, caps/num/scroll lock lights won't illuminate), nor does Windows recognize the internal bluetooth transceiver.  Furthermore the keyboard connection is somewhat unresponsive; on average 1 of every 20 keystrokes doesn't register for some reason.

I have faith that the link you provided may solve my problems.  However, before I take the plunge and install the driver, I'm wondering if you can tell me which is the correct driver on the page you provided?  There are 6 links to download, and I'd like to pick the right one before crippling my bluetooth once again, and having to reinstall Windows again to fix the problem.

Thanks!
