I then installed the drivers in the order that dell said to.
Did you install them off a disc you got with the laptop, or drivers you got off the Inspiron 6000 'Drivers & Downloads' page?
Whichever of the two it was, you obviously didn't install all the drivers :emotion-55:
Unless you haven't installed the chipset drivers (see below), the video controller is almost certainly the graphics chip/card?
Determining the specific "PCI device" is more difficult however?
Confirm what drivers you have installed, and that'll help us narrow down what the PCI device is likely to be.

I had to get them from the Drivers and Downloads page. Here's what I installed in the order I did it in:
NSS
Chipset
Audio
Video
NIC
quickset
Wireless card
Track Stick driver
conexant driver
Dell Support Resources
View All
