Missing Warranty

This relates to hard drive failure.
My hard drive is failing and i need to get a replacement.

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1150 last year, a Dell Lattitude was shipped by mistake and returned. The inspiron was shipped on November 29th 2004. I called support and was told that the warranty expired in August 2005 and that warranties start at date of shipping. The shipping date (confirmed on the web page and the invoice I hold) is 29th November 2005.

How do i find out when the warranty expires?

I have seen no warranty information on the page holding info on my system.

Having given up on the warranty, I ordered a new drive from Dell over the telephone and was given an order number but no customer number. I have never had a customer number and there is no ZIP code where i live in the Caribbean, I cannot track the order online and have not received a confirmation e-mail

How do I track the order to see if the address and other details are correct. (There was some language difficulty talking with the salesman).

If I have posted in the wrong place, PLEASE tell me where to go for this information.

e-mail to Dell Latin America has received NO response since Sunday night.

Thanks for any help

You do not have to order your hard drive from Dell as it is more likely to be more expensive than purchasing locally.

Any 2.5" IDE laptop hard drive with a height of 9.5 millimetres will fit in your laptop.

Thanks for the information but i already ordered the drive on the phone, I still have to find the status of the order though.
