model pp33l studio 1537
i can start up laptop and get to the user page to enter password, it accepts this and then hangs in the welcome page and goes no further ?
what can I do to get past this ?

F12 at powerup - run an extended diagnostic on the hard drive.

thanks, ran this and all clear, everything passed, now I can get in but after a couple of minutes of waiting, any suggestions on what to do to speed this up ? I am not very computer literate but will try anything.
