Mouse Pointer Off the Screen

System: Inspiron 8500, 512MB RAM, Win XP SP1 (latest Updates), nVidia GeForce4 4200 64MB, 15.4" WUXGA Screen (max res 1920x1200) with latest nVidia driver

 

I have a problem with the mouse pointer on my laptop screen.  The pointer correctly stops at the edge of the screen on the left and the top edges of the screen but it goes off the screen on the left and bottom edges.  I have the resolution set at the Dell recommended levels (1920x1200, 32-bit color).  I tried getting it resolved through Tech Support but their answer has nothing to do with the problem (they keep thinking that I don't have a mouse pointer on the screen and asked to to upgrade to the latest touch pad driver which I have anyway!).

 

Has anyone else experienced this issue?  If so, were you able to resolve it? and How?
