N5030 Memory Upgrade Issues
Hi Everyone,
I've got a fairly old Inspiron N5030 I want to breathe some life back into, it's had barely a few days of use in it's life and could definitely serve as a great notebook for elderly folks.
I have attempted to pull out the 2x2GB DDR3 1.5V 1333Mhz SODIMMS and transplant in 2x4GB 1600Mhz DDR3L SODIMMS.
As I understand it after reading the datasheets of my new DIMMS, they should both operate at 1.5V and 1333Mhz without any issue, but once installed together or separately in both DIMM A and DIMM B slots, the machine won't POST and beeps 4 times indicating a memory error.
The DIMMS are Kingston KVR1LS11/4 and KTL-TP3CL/4G and neither will work at all, BIOS has been updated to A02 also.
Any help is appreciated, It's going to be hard to return the DIMMs as I'm sure its a compatibility thing vs faulty RAM.
Thanks!

Thank you for your message.
The maximum memory supported on this model is 6 GB SDRAM @ 1333MHz DDR3.
Higher speeds is at time not recognized. The computer beeping clearly indicates that the memory is not recognized.
You can try a hardware diagnostic by following this link http://bit.ly/2fJuGXB & if there is an error this indicates that the memory is not compatible , if the computer works fine with the original memory.
