Need some post-format help

I just formatted by i9100 after some...unfortunate event... anyway its not the first time i reinstall winXP on a comp i did it often on my desktop, everything went fine, detected the video/audio/network card automatically, installed propery... but im having trouble doing the same with the laptop.

Ok so i went though the entire process of installing windows with a clean format. Now im in my session with nothing working. Wont detect video card (stuck in 1024x768 on a widescreen = headache) wont detect sound card either. Heck i cant even connect to any kind of internet, cant seem to detect network card either.
So there, im stuck with a 100% software i9100... cant do much.

Id like some help onto getting my different parts detected and installing em as well as locating the drivers for em. I installed from the WinXP Dell CD that came with the laptop, and apparently they aint there, so im kinda confused...

Did you install the chipset drivers for the motherboard?  These should be the first drivers installed after a Windows reinstallation.  Windows will not be able to install drivers for many other devices until the chipset drivers are installed.
