No Audio
I have Dell Inspiron 15R and I have issues with sound. I usually connect my laptop to my TV via HDMI to watch TV shows in larger screen and audio works fine when I connect it to TV. But, after I unplug the HDMI and plug in my headphones my headphones doesn't work. The sound is always played on the laptop speaker and I don't want that to happen. So to get my headphones working again i have to restart my computer. Is there a way to fix this without constantly having to restart my computer?

If your laptop is an Inspiron 5521, try installing the older version of the Realtek audio driver, 6.0.1.6690. The current driver Realtek 6.0.1.6788 is buggy with headphone issues although I don't know if those are related to your issue. If your laptop is a different model do not install that driver.
If you have Windows 7 try going to the Playback tab of the Sound properties (right click the audio icon in the taskbar and click Playback devices) after you unplug HDMI and make sure that the default device has reverted to Speakers. If it remains on HDMI then right click on Speakers and select Default device.
The same advice for Win 8 but I don't know the path.
If you need more help please include the full model name of your laptop and its operating system.
