Not booting up?

I have a dell studio 1747 model..

Issue

1)not booting up, stuck at dell startup (LOGO)

2) couldn't enter setup or advanced boot options, tried f8, f2 , f12 and esc keys..

I tried few things, got 4 gb of ram so removed on at time to check thats causing the problem , no use :(

any one came across this problem before pls help needed.

Welcome to Dell community.

In response to your query, the possible cause for this issue could be RAM, Hard Drive or Mother board ,I appreciate your effort in checking the RAM which clearly indicates that the RAM is fine, still you can try removing the hard drive and check if you can access the BIOS screen by pressing F2. If you are still not able to view the BIOS screen then it might be a Motherboard failure

However try Flea power before you remove the hard drive

Instruction for Flea power:

1. Switch off the Laptop

2. Remove the Battery from the Laptop & also unplug all the external devices if any

  (ex. Mouse USB  drive, AC adapter etc.)

3. Hold the power button for 15secs and then attach the battery back.

Now try switching on if it is still a no go. You can try the removing the Hard drive.
