I updated to them and I have not seen any performance boosts that they say should be implemented when I install them.  But hey the dets have always just been hype with that ever so famous "up to 25% performace increase".  I do however like a lot of the new features the drivers offer with the game modes and such.

I cannot run 1600x1200 @ 32-bit just by modifying the INFs to include the GF2Go identifiers. However, using pieters inf file worked fine.

I'll add a reply this time.

What I usually do is add the following lines to the official INF's:
In the [NVIDIA.Mfg] section:
%NVIDIA_NV11.DEV_0112.1% = nv4,                      PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0112

and in the ; Localizable Strings section:
NVIDIA_NV11.DEV_0112.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce2 Go"

But this method usually stopped working since several driver versions back
I believe the last official version that worked was 52.16

Anyways, in case you dont know where to get the INF: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

Did you choose " GeForce2 MX 100/200" driver for your GeForce2 Go card or did you somehow modify "nv4_disp.inf" file before install?

Installed the 56.64 driver using the modified INF from laptopvideo2go.com.  Had to install it through the Windows driver dialogs, since the setup program included with the driver did not work, even with the modified INF in place.  Driver worked OK, except my machine would no longer resume from standby.  I rolled back to 53.03, even though they don't work well with BF:Vietnam.  I've got an Inspiron 8600 with GeForceFX 5650 Go.

I would love to upgrade to this driver, but it's not working on my Inspiron 5150 with a Geforce FX 5200.  It goes through the installation very quickly and says it completed, but on reboot i discover that it didn't do anything.  Only works with "official" Dell drivers, which are outdated.  Anyone else happen to know of a workaround that will get this to work?

Here is my way to install NVIDIA drivers for "GeForce2 Go". Take a look at this post. It's about 45.23, but I do not see why it's not working for 56.64.

I was able to use the 56.64 driver successfully on my i8500 (running the NVIDIA GeForce 4200 Go) but as mentioned above, the laptop will no longer return from STANDBY mode. This is a problem for me as I use the computer for both work and to play Battlefield: Vietnam.

Does anybody have a workaround that will re-enable the resume from standby?

Please post it here. Thanks.

As far as the resume from standby issue, try the registry fix in this thread:

I installed the 56.64 driver with WinXP and gforce MX 420. Everything seemed OK. When I ran Windows update it showed a critical update to install a earlier driver. What is it about the new driver that XP so strongly disagrees with?

Good question. I can't get rid of:
------
NVIDIA display software update released on June 24 2003.
Download size: 13.6 MB, 2 minutes

------
And it's listed under "Critical Updates and Service Packs".
Why it so critical?

I'm looking for a solution (to get rid of it) too...
