pc checkup Fail
hai, i had bought my laptop on 30/12/2010 ,its working smoothly ,last pc check up shows that 2 hard disk tests are failed (target read test ,and short self test ),but my lap working as normal ,what i will do ,is it any problem for laptop

Run the Dell diagnostics on the drive - F12 at powerup.

Hi Wtfs21,
Welcome to the Community. If you are able boot up normally I suggest you start backing up your data ASAP. Then follow ejn63 instructions to run Dell Diagnostics to check if there is a hard drive error.

How to Run the Dell™ Diagnostics Utility
If you run the Dell Support Center the second time, sometimes the error message goes away and does not come back. I ran the Dell Diagnostic test and got the hard drive is actually failing but Dell Support Center is not reporting this. Am currently working with Dell to see if there a way to correct this.

What error code did the Dell Diagnostics give you?
ejn63 knows the codes and can give advice on what to do next.

it shows 2000-0146 ,but my computer work same before not showing any problems ,please helf me, my hard drive have any problem
