Power for E1705

I am having a problem with these adapters. I burned out 1 and now my new one won't work and I hear a beeping sound from the the pack. Am I doing something wrong? I normally have the laptop on AC power and only unplug the unit a few times a week. Am I supposed to take out the battery when I am on AC power or what?

Theres usually a high pitched whine from the power brick, but after the battery is charged the AC adapter only supplied power to the laptop.

I would look more at where you are storing the power brick(they create a lot of heat). If you are keeping it somewhere it cannot get air circulation, this would kill it.
