Precision m4700 - processor compatibilty
Hello,
i bought used Precision m4700 laptop with intel i5 3360m CPU (2cores, 4threads, 35W). Its possible to replace only CPU with e.g. Intel Quad-Core i7-3720QM (4cores, 8threads, 45W)?
Does DELL use same heatsinks for all m4700 laptops or heatsinks are differents depending on CPU?

The system had the i7-3740QM as optional, so that one should work fine. The heatsink is different depending on whether you have nVidia or AMD GPU, but not by CPU.
Make sure you have the 180W AC adapter - anything less likely won't power a quad core CPU.

Thank you for answer! I have Dell WW4XY DA180PM111 Laptop AC Adapter, so this should be ok.
Im satisfied with my nvidia quadro K1000 (fits my needs), but thank you for your information!
