Dell14z,

It is copied to the clipboard. Open Paint, then paste it there. Save the image as and you have a copy of the screenshot

Err wrong window *blush*. Thank you. The reference to Apple was another board answer still on my mind. Now I can have both laptop and iPad working correctly

Thank you!  I knew it copied there but I also thought it might save as a temp file in Dowmloads. I'm a Windows user since 1993 and Apple is still fairly new to me.

Dell14z,

You can also paste it to a Microsoft Word(Open Office Writer) Document. If you use an email program, like Outlook or Mozilla Firefox, it will paste there, also

Thanks. I just tried on this iPhone and when I held my thumb in the body, the select/select all/paste block came up.  I clicked Paste but it pasted text from three days ago.

Im using the mail app for this right now. One of three accounts under that app.

Dell14z,

On an iPhone, press the top button and the round home button and it takes a screenshot of your screen. The image can be found in Camera Roll.

You can message or email the picture, like you do any of the other pictures

Yes, I know how to take the screenshot but what I can't do is attach it to an email. I don't see any attachment button or listing in the mail app.

Dell14z,

My mail app does not have a way to attach the screenshot. If you go to the picture, click on the arrow, you can send the image to mail, message, twitter, facebook, assign to contacts, print(only if you have an air print compatible printer) copy or use as wallpaper.
