Problem installing nvidia graphics driver

Question

I am trying to install nvidia 6400GS driver on my Inspiron 1520. But when i restart my laptop after installing it, i got blue screen of death just before i got the login screen.

Then i have to go to safe mode and rollback the driver to bring it on to the original state.

Please help how to install the driver.

I'd suggest trying Nvidia's Notebook Drivers :emotion-55:

I'm using them myself, and haven't had a single problem :emotion-5:
