Problem updating video drivers

Hi all, I'm using an Inspiron E1505 with Radeon X1300 video card, but I can't seem able to update it with new drivers. the one available from Dell is a year old, and when I tried to install the latest driver from ATI website, I always get this message: "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system" I'm using a Windows XP Media Center, and I always make sure I downloaded the right driver for my Windows from the ATI website. can anyone help?

I have a very similar problem with the same error message. I was updating my catalyst ATI drivers when upgrading the video card. I got the "setup did not find a driver" message.

I followed the procedure here >> http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_video&message.id=101120&query.id=259254#M101120

including the Driver Cleaner step. But still got the same message. I even tried the Omega drivers.

I stripped all the drivers out and reinstalled my old ATI card. I now get the same problem with it.

I have read loads of people have this same issue but have not found a definitive answer. Can anyone help us both?

This thread has not been replied to for a while and I just recently formatted my hard drive and experiencing the exact same issue as previously stated.  I've also tried downloading the Video drivers from the Dell website and same error message.  Please, any help?
