Problem with B130 Notebook

Question

I have a B130 that will not boot correctly. You turn it on and does nothing!! The power lights come on, but will not spin the HD and boot up.. I took it to a local computer repair shop and he giggled the memory sticks and it booted then, but the same problem keeps recurring..He tried different memory sticks, but they would not fit into the chassis..He said it was a memory brand that he had never heard of.. I bought it refurbished and did not think to get the longer warranty(I know shame on me !!!) Any suggestions as to what I should do? Thank you for any advice you can give me. Hopefully you have a warranty transfer on it - because it likely needs a system board, which is a $400+ repair otherwise.

I had the same problem try taking out the ram completely wait ten seconds and put it back in and then it should work fine. Most likely your ram is coming loose or it's not in all the way but this should work.
