See, I reformatted the computer and reinstalled everything again, so I wasn't paying attention to really what was being installed. Just getting rid of the yellow "!" by each driver, one at a time.
my gut feeling is that you didn't install the chipset driver from what you say.
suggest you install it as the system should not come to any harm if you reinstall the chipset driver.
