Problem with my LCD screen

Hi there,

I have a problem with my screen.
Now a day's when I start my laptop (inspiron 5160) the screen goes automatic to CRT mode for some reason. Why I hit the CRT/LCD (F8) button it turn back on. Ofcourse this is a bit anoing. Can some one help me?

Have you checked out the options under display properties> settings?

Yes, I checked and checked and dubble checked... all settings are set correct...

ok, unfortunately I'm not at my laptop at the moment so can't doublecheck what I tell you but suggest you look again at display properties> settings> advance and either under adapter or monitor you will see a list of monitors which the system can use as default. Make sure it's set to your default laptop monitor screen and not be external monitor.
