problem with screen
I have a Dell Vostro laptop puchased in 2010 Product key <
ADMIN NOTE: Product key removed per privacy policy> Service Code <
ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy> . I am not sure if this is still under warranty. The left side of the screen is no longer visible.
Can you please advise what my options are? The laptop was purchased by my partner Francis Pantus and warranty may be under his name?

Hi Christine,
Please do not put service code or product key on the forum. I would suggest you to perform diagnostic on the LCD. You may refer to the link mentioned below:

If the issue persists during LCD BIST (Built in Self-test), LCD assembly needs replacement.
If the test passes, connect the laptop to an external display(Television or monitor). Let me know if the issue appears on external display as well.

The issue persisted and all tests passed. The issue does not appear on external display as well
