What speed hardrive did you put in your machine when you had it replaced? What you are discribeing can also be caused from heat causeing the processor to throttle down. Get a can of caned air and while powered off blast the rear heatsink vents this will remove dust buildup and is good practice I have always done thid once a month on all my laptops I have owned and it does make a difference and also keeps the inside of your laptop dust free in general.

Best wishes

I agree that overheating is often the cause of these symptoms.  If you've cleaned out the heatsink and vents as suggested above, and it still doesn't display cleanly, here are a couple more thoughts:

If you're getting artifacts as well as choppy video, you could also try playing around with the AGP and antialiasing settings in Control Panel -> Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> GeForce 5200 tab.

Have you searched the forums (or posted in them) at www.laptopvideo2go.com?  if it's an issue with your video card, someone there will be able to help.
