Processor and Memory Upgrade

Is there a way I can upgrade my laptops processor and memory? I have an Inspirion 1525 with a Intel Celeron CPU: 560 @2.13 GHz......Memory (RAM): 1.00 GB.......32 -bit Operating System.  with Windows Vista Home Premium.   I have added an external hard drive for more memory storage. But would also like to upgrade internal memory(RAM).  My problem is that I want to download and use Skype, but it requires a Dual Core Processor. Which I believe the Celeron is not. My laptop was a gift for X-Mas, I would not have bought a laptop like this with such a small capacity of RAM and Processor. Any help would greatly be appreciated!!

You don't need a dual core cpu for skype. You must have misread the requirements. What you might need is headset with earphones and microphone. You can add ram, but you would probably have to replace the memory chips you have now and that's not necessary for skype. Here are the real requirements: Skype.
