Processor Driver Issue? PLEASE HELP!
Hi!
I need a little help again and thank you all in advance for your replies! I have an issue that I need a fix for fast as it depends on time and I have about a day to get it fixed.
I have an AMD HP Pavilion g62 laptop w/ a bad mobo and I need to order a new one. However, it will take to long to order one in time, so I had a plan but there's a slight error.
My client can take a Dell D620 that I have with them while I work on her hp, so I was just going to transfer the HDD from the hp to the D620 so that she could keep all her files for the time being. However, obviously the Dell has an Intel Celeron and the HP had an AMD. So it BSODs even in safe mode. Is there a way to work around that so that I can boot the HP's hdd into the Dell?
Thanks!
GTaero

Not without a reinstall of Windows, no - and if the HP has the original OS, when you transfer it, it'll trip to activation - which won't work.

Can I just transfer all the User files onto a new image adn load it with dell drivers? I know that's possible but it would take a while- It'd be nice to have a quicker method.
Thanks!

You can do that, yes.
