Questions about Dell Touchpad Drivers

First question:

- Has anybody figured out the proper way of 'uninstalling' the dell touchpad driver's from dell machines?.

Second question:

- After many years of the same issue regarding the uninstallation of the dell touchpad drivers, why does dell continue to include the defective uninstaller  (C:\Program Files\DellTPad\Uninstap.exe) which prevents you from uninstalling the software through add and remove programs? Might I also add this uninstaller and software has had many changes done to it since its first release on dell laptops and it still continues to have the exact same defect after MANY years.

Incase you cant figure out the screenshot. This is the farthest that the uninstaller will go... An answer would be fantastic.

Thanks

-PS) I've also had this dell laptop  (Dell Latitude E6540 with just about the best configuration for this model -- $$$$$) for only 2 weeks and there are already 2 horizontal scan lines on the machine of stuck pixels, Is this a feature that dell has in their laptops that help's me know how many weeks since purchase that I've had this machine? Should I expect a new line sometime this week?  I understand its under warranty. But still... I'm rocking strike #2 with dell after this post.

Hi dmt010,

I am sorry for the inconvenience. I recommend you to uninstall the Touchpad driver in Device manager.  Click on ‘Start’ and in the search box type ‘Device Manager’ and from the list, click on ‘Device Manager’ folder. In the device manager window, click on the triangle to the left of ‘Mice and other pointing Devices’, Right click on the Touch pad and uninstall the driver.

Please provide the system service tag through a private message for the LCD horizontal lines issue. To send me a private message, click on my Forum username and then click Start conversation.
