Re-installing Windows on an Alienware M11

My XPS M1210's display system just died last weekend (connection to an external display doesn't also work). Now, I'm looking around to purchase a replacement. The alienware M11 seems to suit my needs. The size is reasonable. To bad, Dell abandoned the 12.1" size, since I find them to be my sweet spot.

Looking at the specs of the M11, I am aware that this unit doesn't come with an optical drive. However, I am curious to know, if in case I made the purchase, is that if a copy of windows comes with the purchase (or even a recovery disc or a bootable USB drive that contains the copy of windows)???

The reason with this is that I would like to be able to reformat/re-install windows at anytime without having to go thru tech support. Or if I decide in the future to upgrade the hard drive, I would need a fresh copy of the OS to install. Also, since I travel a lot, in an event that I need some sort of recovery options would be a good thing.

I've had a chat with one of the customer service agents (via the customize your unit), however the agent was useless. The only feedback I got was that I should contact tech support?!?

any feedback from any M11 owners would be appreciated! thanks.

The Windows come in Reserved HD Space ... dont come with CDs ... you can make the re-install using the F11 Key ... and Select Format .

EDIT: Well maybe only can change HDs in Suport ... but i dont know ... you can make like me Buy a Wireless 2TB HD for Storage Midias/Images/ETC and use the Notebook HD for Games / Documents
