RE: USB 2.0 Port Replicator Problems

When I right-click on the 24CD USB 2.0 controller I am not given the option to disable this device as your advice offers. I am given the choice to uninstall it, but it will reinstall upon reboot will it not? Obviously this is a short-term fix by disabling USB 2.0, but since I have only 1.1 devices connected, I am willing to try this.

Any suggestions?

While undocked I was given the option to disable it and I did so. Upon redocking it is enabled again without the ability to disable it so I uninstalled it this time. Then after rebooting, it is back (enabled) as I suspected.

Dear Moderators.

Do you happen to know if the Dell notebook system software that was just released solves the issue with the port replicators and usb 2.0?

It says it ubdates usb for both xp and windows, I was just curious.

Thanks
