replacing usb port

Is there any way I can replace the usb port for my Latitude C600. When I tried to connect my memory card reader, it couldn't attach. It seems that the plastic piece in the port is no longer there, exposing the pins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think there is any way to easily replace just the port, it is part of the motherboard. That is not to say it can't be done, you would need to solder a new port on. But in doing so you could destroy the motherboard.
