Right mouse button not working on my laptop touchpad
My right mouse button is suddenly not working any longer on my laptop. Instead of the shortcut function, it popped up a small icon of 2 triangles with a dot in the middle, and they were in the circle. Instead of clicking, it scrolls up and down on the page. Now, it doesn't do anything when I click the right mouse button. I checked my mouse settings and the right button is set to "shortcut menu" as it's function, not scroll or anything else. I just started doing this suddenly, without any settings being changed. Can someone please help?! This is driving me nuts.
Thank you so much!
PS - I have a inspiron 1440, but I'm thinking it's not the laptop, it's windows 7 Also, I've not installed anything recently, etc.

The icon that you desicribe is typcially when the "middle" button is used with a 3 button mouse. On a touchpad, the middle button is simulated with both left and right buttons are selected at the same time.
I would guess that somehow both buttons are being pushed (when pushing the right button is also pushed the left) or that the touchpad is going.
From your ealier post I know that you do not have an external mouse, but that can definately help identify that the touchpad is at fault or not.
