rows of pixels malfunctioning

I got my xps13 with QHD+ display about two weeks ago. Before yesterday, the display was perfect with no stuck or dead pixels. When I turned it on last night, I noticed that an entire row of pixels near the bottom edge was malfunctioning.

this issue occurs regardless of operating system or anything; it's even visible during the boot process when the dell logo appears.

Here is a picture:

Actually it looks like several rows are acting weird. for the bottom row it seems every other pixel works

Is there any simple fix for this?

The screen needs to be replaced.

If the system is less than 21 days from shipment, you can request a replacement system -- if it's more than that, you'll need to have a warranty replacement of the screen made.

Failures like that are due to being dropped with impact damage at the edge of the LCD glass.  They won't show up on an external monitor because the failure is a fracture in the screen.
