S-VIDEO CABLE CONNECTION ISSUES

Question

Hello, I just got a s-video cable for my inpiron 9300 today and although it is hooked up and the tv is where it needs to be for this to work, im just getting a black screen on the tv, is there anything special I need to do on my computer to enable the s-video display, or is my tv just busted?

Did you press Fn+F8 to toggle the display output?
