S-Video

Hi,

 

i have a dell laptop with a S video output. When i plug my S video from the laptop into the scart on the TV it only appears black and white. I live in the UK if that helps answers. I know it should change to SVHS as when i use my PS2 it goes to this channel but not automatically when the laptop is plugged in, please help!!!!!
