screen is like a mirror!

Question

i like my e1505, except for one thing. it's like looking into a mirror, even in low lights conditions. now, i'm not a handsome fella, and i don't want to be staring at a reflection of myself 24 hours a day. so what are my options? brightness doesn't help. i don't want to have to send it back...

Try repositioning either the computer or lights in the room to reduce the glare. I have mine on a desk with a lamp behind the computer and I don't see any glare. Try moving things around.

If you're within 21 days you could return it and order one with a regular screen. But Dell will probably charge you the 15% restocking fee. You could try an anti-glare cover, but it seems a shame to have to do that to a TrueLife display.

it sounds like the backlight is not bright enough... increase the brightness (fn+the up and down buttons)

a reflection occurs when the light of your laptop screen is less than the outside light.

your face in your laptop?
i imagine that it is because the light reflects off your face and onto the screen... sit with your back facing the lightsource.
