screen resize help needed!!!

So I just had to replace the screen plastic part on my e1705 with geforce go 7900 and i had to disconnect the screen. After I reconnected the screen there seems to be a small black space in the upper left side. Before this, the Desktop screen used all the screen and there was no black space bordering the screen. However, after I got a screen repair, the black space around the screen was noticeable especially in the top left corner area. Is there an option to resize my screen or reset so I can used all the screen without black spaces? Thanks! Btw resolution is 1920x1200

It sounds like you damaged the screen - what part did you replace?

just the plastic part around the screen that has all the rubber pads around screen. nothing from the actual screen. The screen works fine. However i want to use all the screen space. Is there any way of resetting the screen or calibrating the laptop screen. It seems like the upper left corner has a little more black space than my upper right. Any help would be appreciated!

The basic answer is no.  This is not a setting of the video card, and there are no controls to set the centering or anything like that on the LCD.  It sounds like maybe you did not get it reconnected correctly, but I am not sure.

I would suggest that you test with an external monitor and see if there is any similar effect on the monitor, but in this case, I am not sure that will work very well, even as a test.

So do you recommend a new screen? I still have warranty on this computer.
