SD Formatting card errors

hey check it out

I started out using a Kodak 1G sd card for my Canon camera and Inspiron 700m built in slot, everything worked great. Then I went out and bought a PNY 2G Sd card and a Sanyo camera, didn't really like the Sanyo camera so didn't use it much. took a couple test shots with the Canon and 2G PNY card and  tried to transfer them to the computer had a driver problem but put the latest version in and everything seemed to work OK. Went on vacation came back with few hundred and tried to put them on to my computer the error message said “This disk in drive G is not formatted do you want to format it know? y/n”. So then I tried transferring through the canon camera with a cable, no luck. After that I used the Sanyo camera cable technique it did work but took 35mins and that’s no good. But anyways I got the pictures and decided I would format the 2G card, couldn’t do it.  Error message: “window was unable to complete format”. Put the card back into the camera, “card error”…. I formatted the card with the camera still same problem when I put it back in to my computer. So I thought the card went bad. But the crazy thing is that exactly the same thing happens when I use the Kodak 1G card…. So I don’t know what happening so HELP is needed

ya it says "This device is working properly." so i dono.....

i dono if this is normal but if there is no sd card inserted the SD device doesn't show up under disk drives or at all for that matter of fact. only after it is inserted into the slot did the device show up.

thx Daniel
