Solve a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver

Hi,

Ever since i have been getting this message though action centre my laptop either freezes which means i have to restart my laptop or blue screens, I have only discovered that it happens whilst playing games such as LoL, Dead space 2 and fable. I have a Dell XPS 15.

Thanks

Hi,

Please follow the below mentioned steps that can fix the issue:-

1. Verify the compatibility of the game.

2. Update the BIOS of your system if not updated yet. Refer to this link and select the correct Operating System:-

www.dell.com/.../xps-15-l521x

3. Uninstall the existing Video driver. Click on Start – type Device Manager and click at the top – right click on the Video driver listed under the Display tab – uninstall it and restart the system.

4. Install the latest Video driver from the above mentioned link.

5. Set the display to an optimal resolution. Right click on the desktop – click on Screen Resolution – select the one that says “Recommended”.

6. Increase the size of the virtual memory. You can refer to this link:-

windows.microsoft.com/.../Change-the-size-of-virtual-memory

7. Install the latest Direct X version. Download the web based installer from:-

www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

8. After performing all these steps if the issue is not fixed you might need to reinstall the game.

Awaiting your response.

Hello Deepa R,

I have a DELL XPS L502x with NVidia GeForce 540M Optimus. I want to uninstall the video card driver. Can the same way to uninstall my driver?

I have not updated the BIOS. How do I do it for my laptop?

Thanks in advance
