Sounds like it's overheating, try blowing out the fan/heatsink and air intakes with compressed air. Also set the power options to always on when playing games and portable/laptop the rest of the time.

Ya it worked. My comp runs fine now, especially since I bought the cooling pad. I could melt chocolate with the laptop before, but now its almost chilly.
