Stop Errors

I will explain a little about my systems and its continual problems before going into the latest problem I am currently dealing with.

First, my system starting dropping the hard drive and every time I wanted to boot I had to remove the hard drive then insert it again and run diagnostics to get the system to work. Got the hard drive finally replaced by Dell, but I was sent a refurbished hard drive instead of a new hard drive. I have the 4 year extended warranty and complete coverage plan.

So, I install everything and about 3 months go by and I start having overheating issues. Cleaning out the fan ports about once a week tend to help alleviate the problem but the system still gets extraordinarily hot. I have a cooling pad and that doesn't help any.

Next, the refurbished hard drive I get from Dell starts to fail. Get that hard drive replaced after spending hours on the phone with Dell and running countless diagnostics. Get another refurbished hard drive sent out and installed, and the OS loaded back on the system.

Still have overheating issues when running memory intensive applications. I do a lot of memory intensive applications running programs for school. Another hard drive goes out, and after spending time running diagnostics with Dell on the phone, they send out another refurbished hard drive.

So now my real problems start to surface. The overheating issue is still present and has never been truely solved. Then I start recieving stop 0xc000021a errors on boot-ups with different codes pointing to different things. I receive both 0x000005 and 0x000000 errors. I am also getting STOP: 0xc000021a Unknown Hard Error. Don't really know what that means truely and support websites don't offer much help. Anyone know what is wrong with my system currently? I run ram tests and they all come out clean.

Also, the monitor lamp is starting to fade as well. Not a truely big concern at the moment since I cannot even boot up my system without it locking up. It locks up when loading windows mostly at the welcome screen. I have been waiting for someone at tech support to wake up and chat with me for 4 hours now. If someone has an answer for me before Friday, I would greatly appreciate it. Please email me at

Sounds like it may-be a motherboard/HD/RAM issue.. May-be a motherboard issue because the motherboard may not be correctly assessing the temperature of your system, and is not speeding up the fan to cool it down. The blue screens maybe caused by either the HD or the RAM, though your RAM passed, make sure to run the MemTest +86 (google it) for multiple passes, your ram may pass once, but not twice, so run it a couple of times prior to calling the RAM good.. You may need a new heatsink of which comes with THERMAL paste, which is ALOT better at getting rid of heat then the "pads"...Hope this helps.
