Studio 1536 shutdown with M1004 error
My laptop shuts down with no warning. After waiting a short time I can restart it but get a M1004 too warm error message . Any idea what is going on? I am using a "X-pad" cooling pad.

I also experienced this scenario and error and applied an BIOS upgrade from DELL download page which remedied the problem.

Have you checked the fan? It might not be working properly; therefore causing the compluter to overheat.
