What happens when you power it down, remove the AC adapter and remove the battery. Wait about 10 seconds and try again?

You can't even get to the Dell diagnostics with F12. Have you tried reseating the memory modules?

Removed each battery for probably 30 seconds, same problem.

Which battery are you referring to, the storage or small system battery? Thanks for the reply. I tried disconnecting the AC adaptor but it had no effect. I didn't remove either battery though.

First try the main battery.

To see if F12 works and its a problem with the mainboard?

I will give it a try as soon as I can. Thank you for your help, I'll let you know the result. If I remove the hard drive, will F12 work if there is no problem with the mainboard?

I am not certain for sure, its what I would try. However since you are having problems at the BIOs it does seem likely that it is the mainboard.

That was one of the first things that I did. I don't know what else to try since there is no keyboard input that does anything.

Have you tried it with the hard drive removed?

No. What will that tell me?
