Studio 1737 Shutsdown Randomly

For the last week or so my 1737 has been shutting itself down. I've let it cool off, thinking it might be overheating, but it continues to shut itself down. The BIOS are up-to-date. Anyone else have this problem or know the solution?

Run the dell diagnostics if you can and test everything including the extended hard drive test. Bad memory, dust build up, clogged or blocks vents can cause shutdowns.

I ran the diagnostics, express test, extended test and even used the symptom tree tests and everything passed. I've cleaned the vents, used compressed air to help clear out any blocks. But my laptop still shutsdown whenever it wants.

romeier,

Did you take the bottom cover off and clean out the dirt? I found a large clump of dirt in my old Dell Studio 1737.
