Teredo Tunneling Pseudso-Interface

After much searching and diagnostic running, I found that the Teredo Tunneling Pseudso-Interface  cannot start. I got this message when I did the first fix and repair but then I'd get a message that it couldn't be fixed. I tried a new diagnostic tool and it said the  Teredo Tunneling Pseudso-Interface device cannot start (code 10)

I finally found it under the Network Adapters and it has the little yellow triangle with an exclamation mark beside it. Everything I've read says to use the back-up disc that came with the computer to re-install it. My computer did not come with a back-up disc. In that case it says to contact the manufacturer to get a copy. When I get on Dell.com, they say no results. Does anyone have any idea how to find a disc or how to replace this component? I don't want to junk the computer because of this. I have it so that I can now use it, but I'm backing up all my work and not doing anything too sensitive on it. Updates will not run.

Any help would be very appreciated.

There is no help because there is no information to go on.

No dell model

No OS version

Sounds like you have winsock malware.

Your question is generic about windows and has nothing whatsoever to do with Dell.

  • One of the drivers that the device needs does not start.

I replied to your email and it asked if I accepte or rejected the answer. When I tried to reject the answer it just sent me back here with no way to reject the answer.
Sorry – I can’t give you all that information because I’m disabled and can’t turn the computer over to read it when I’m home alone.
I can tell you basic information

Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel ® Core ™ (i3 CPU   M370    @ 2.40GHz

System type – 64 bit operating system

I know it is not Malware and I state very plainly that the device cannot start. Nothing generic about that. I also said that after much diagnostics and troubleshooting, it said to re-install it with the backup disc that came with the computer. I DON’T have a backup disc and was trying to find out how to get one from Dell. It’s a Dell computer and I’ve tried contacting the Dell site for the disc but couldn’t find it. If it plainly tells me the device cannot start and I need the manufacturer's backup disc, how does that not make it a Dell problem. I took off the product ID because I don’t feel that would make a difference.

Apparently you did not read my full question and this was a very rude answer. I stated I had done all of that. I know the problem. I just don’t know how to fix it without the backup disc.
