Touchpad and keyboard problems

I bought a studio 1535 about 2 weeks ago. I turned it on today and the mouse nor keyboard would work. I searched it on the website and tried fixing it through the maintenance option on the set up. This fixed my mouse but keyboard still wouldn't work, so i tried it again. Now my mouse won't work but my keyboard will. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or should i just send it back on warranty?
