Touchpad jumpy after windows 10 update

Hi,

I have an Inspiron 15-7569. My touchpad was working fine then after the most recent Windows update, the touchpad has become so oversensitive that it clicks and erases what I'm typing, especially on Microsoft Word. I tried adjusting the touchpad settings but the only thing that seemed relevant was turning the "tapping" off -- it helped, but it's still not enough.

Anyone have suggestions? I don't remember having this problem before the most recent Windows 10 update.

You can roll back the touchpad driver in device manager and see if that will make a difference.

1. Right click windows icon at bottom left of taskbar, and then click device manager.

2. Stroll down to "Mice And Other Pointed Devices" ,and then expand it. Right click touchpad driver, click on Properties, and then Driver.

Thanks for the response. I actually can't roll back the driver as it looks like it's still on its first update, which is weird since I'm pretty convinced the jumpy touchpad only started happening after my system was updated.

I did find a solution called Touch Freeze which appears to turn off the touchpad while typing and it's working really nicely so far. But I'm open to hearing other suggestions, I"m all ears. Appreciate the response!
