Touchpad not working after installing USB mouse
Hi Experts,
I connected and installed a USB mouse on a Dell latitude E5430 running windows 8.1. But the touchpad stopped working afterwards. I cannot use the touchpad at all now and the only way to have the cursor shown in the screen is by using a USB mouse.
I tried downloading a reinstalling the touchpad drivers from dell website but still no effect. I can see that the Dell Touchpad software is installed under programs and feature.
Any ideas or fixes on how to resolve this issue.
Thanks.

There is a touchpad driver identified and linked to in this thread. The solution is toward the bottom but you may find some of the other information helpful. If this is the solution please remember to click the YES button. Before you attempt the procedure I've laid out at that page... try the driver mentioned furhter down first.
