Tracing on the screen.
I have dell laptop: Inspiron 15R 5537.
The screen is normal (not touch sensitive).
When I read on computer screen, I would like to use my finger or a pen (not a pointed pen) to touch the screen and trace the text on it. Will this damage my screen?
If it can damage my screen, is there recommended product (e.g. screen film protector) so that I can use my finger or pen to trace the text?
=================
Another solution is to buy a touch sensitive laptop. But when I do pen tracing on the screen, I would have to disable the touch feature. This would be an expensive solution.
Thanks.

I guess it depends on how hard you are pressing on the screen. I can’t think that a light touch will cause any damage. I certainly suggest being very gentile while tracing.
Antiglare and Privacy screens are available and if you are interested you can find out more about them here.
Here is a document on properly cleaning the LCD screen as well that you may find helpful as well.
I hope that this answered your question.
