Trun off problem and internet problem

Question

i have a problem with my dell inspiron 1750. its about 8 months old.it has windows home premium 64 bit operating system.i have problems with its turn off. many times when i visit my facebook account my internet freezes. i mean my browser frezees. and my  wireless internet connection is lost.and after that when i try to restart or shut down my laptop doest turns off. i have to manually kepp pressing the switch for 5 - 7 seconds and then it turns off. on turning on the laptop it says your computer was shut down improperly and boot in safe mode...its quite annoying..wot is the problem is it related  to hardware or software..
